Jimi James

Jimi James, otherwise known as James Klutts, is an experienced mixed media-pop and assemblage artist born and raised in beautiful Memphis, Tennessee. He attended the Memphis College of Art and the University of Memphis and voluntarily chose to step away from his creativity to focus on being a strong father and committed husband.

As his children grew, Jimi slowly began to feel the pull to return to the art world build inside and has finally reentered the scene with a new devotion to a central idea – as long as everyone is going to have an opinion and creativity will always be subjective, he might as well be his own biggest fan.

This new philosophy has fueled Jimi’s passion for art and granted him the freedom to explore any topic, no matter the controversy. He is continually inspired by the music, loud imagery, highway billboards, pop artist, and anything that feels a little different from the local busy streets to the social concepts we argue about around the world.
